Allergy Elimination?!? Is it possible with NAET?

“Allergy elimination?!? Is it possible?” I Asked when I first heard about NAET. “Absolutely!” is the answer to that question, I later discovered, after meeting Dr. Devi and learning her amazingly simple, most effective technique. Bar none, no other allergy treatment in my practice has been as effective as NAET. Tell everyone you know about the best-kept secret in the world of allergy diagnosis and therapy: NAET.

What is Allergy?

A condition of unusual sensitivity of one individual towards one or more substance from one’s living environment which may be harmless or even beneficial to a majority of other individual.

Allergy NAET Dubai

In other words, Allergy is an overreaction to the immune system to substances that are otherwise harmless, causing respiratory, skin and systemic diseases. Most common are respiratory diseases, caused by airborne particles such as grass or tree pollens. For most people these tiny particles are insignificant, but for people with allergy, they can trigger seasonal or chronic respiratory conditions, such as hay fever or allergic asthma.

Allergic diseases are linked through common immunological mechanisms, and co-morbidities are common. The risk of getting a new allergy increases with the number of allergies already present. Disease severity may also increase. For example, rhinitis is a risk factor for asthma, and at least 60% of asthma patients also suffer from allergic rhinitis.

Types of allergens

Food Allergy occurs when the body’s immune system sees a certain food as harmful and reacts by causing symptoms. This is an allergic reaction. Foods that cause allergic reactions are allergens. Common foods involved include cow’s milk, peanuts, eggs, shellfish, tree nuts, wheat, rice, and fruit.

Environmental Allergiesare your body’s response to substances you inhale at your home, school or workplace. They can be caused by dustpollen, mold and mildew and cigarette smoke.

Pet Dander Allergy, a combination of dead skin cells and hair (or feathers), which can trigger asthma attacks and allergic reactions in people who are sensitive to the allergens.

Insect Sting typically results in pain, swelling, and redness confined to the sting site. More severe reactions include symptoms appearing over a wider area (for example, swelling of your whole arm if you were stung on your wrist) or affecting other parts of the body from where the sting occurred. Common insects involved include ants, bee, waspbeetle, and mosquito.

Chemical Allergy, Common chemicals involved include cleaners, perfumes, air freshener, colognes, shampoo, soaphair dyes, and personal care items.

Medicines, Antibiotics are the most common type of medicines that cause allergic reactions. Many other medicines, including over-the-counter medications (those you can buy without a prescription), also can cause allergic reactions.

General Allergy Symptoms

Allergies from dust and pollen may have the following symptoms:

  1. Blocked nose
  2. Itchy eyes
  3. Itchy nose
  4. Runny nose
  5. Swollen eyes
  6. Watery eyes

Skin reactions, as in eczema (atopic dermatitis) may include:

  1. Flaking skin
  2. Itchy skin
  3. Peeling skin
  4. Red skin, rashes.

Food allergies may include several types of reactions:

  1. Vomiting
  2. Tongue swelling
  3. Tingling in the mouth
  4. Itchy throat
  5. Swelling of the lips
  6. Swelling of the face
  7. Swelling in the throat
  8. Stomach cramps
  9. Shortness of breath
  10. Rectal bleeding (in children, rare in adults)
  11. Itchiness in the mouth
  12. Diarrhea
  13. Anaphylaxis – a very severe, often life-threatening allergic reaction.

The following allergic reactions are possible after an insect sting:

  1. Wheezing
  2. Swelling at the sting site
  3. A sudden drop in blood pressure
  4. Skin itching
  5. Shortness of breath
  6. Restlessness
  7. Hives- a red and very itchy rash that spreads
  8. Dizziness
  9. Cough
  10. Chest tightness
  11. Anxiety

The following may be signs of an allergic reaction to medication:

  1. Wheezing
  2. Swollen tongue
  3. Swollen lips
  4. Swelling of the face
  5. Skin rash
  6. Itchiness
  7. Anaphylaxis

Anaphylaxis is a very serious and potentially fatal allergic reaction that involves a sudden drop in blood pressure, loss of consciousness and body system failure which even leads to Death.

Problems arising from Untreated/Uncleared Allergies

Rhinitis

The word rhinitis means “inflammation of the nose.” The nose produces a fluid called mucus. This fluid is normally thin and clear. It helps to keep dust, debris, and allergens out of the lungs. Mucus traps particles like dust and pollen, as well as bacteria and viruses.

Mucus usually drains down the back of your throat. You’re not aware of this most of the time because it is a small amount and is thin. When the nose becomes irritated, it may produce more mucus, which becomes thick and pale yellow.

The mucus may begin to flow from the front of the nose as well as the back. Substances in the mucus may irritate the back of the throat and cause coughing. Postnasal drip occurs when more mucus drains down the back of the throat.

Asthma

Asthma is a chronic disease that affects your airways. Your airways are tubes that carry air in and out of your lungs. If you have asthma, the inside walls of your airways become sore and swollen. That makes them very sensitive, and they may react strongly to things that you are allergic to or find irritating. When your airways react, they get narrower and your lungs get less air.

Bronchitis

Bronchitis is an inflammation of the lining of your bronchial tubes, which carry air to and from your lungs. People who have bronchitis often cough up thickened mucus, which can be discolored. Bronchitis may be either acute or chronic.

Often developing from a cold or other respiratory infection, acute bronchitis is very common. Chronic bronchitis, a more serious condition, is a constant irritation or inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes, often due to smoking.

Acute bronchitis usually improves within a few days without lasting effects, although you may continue to cough for weeks. However, if you have repeated bouts of bronchitis, you may have chronic bronchitis, which requires medical attention. Chronic bronchitis is one of the conditions included in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Hives/ Urticaria

The medical name for hives is urticaria. It’s a common condition that causes raised red bumps or welts to appear on the skin (some hives have a pale center as well).

Hives can be itchy; sometimes they also burn or sting. Usually, they’re harmless and last anywhere from half an hour to a couple of days. New hives can show up to replace the old ones as they fade, though. So the condition can go on for a while.

Acne

Acne is a skin disease that is particularly common among adolescents, though some people have acne that lasts into adulthood.

Acne involves a disorder with glands in the skin that are located next to hair follicles. These glands, called sebaceous glands, secrete an oily substance called sebum. Everyone has these glands, and the secretion of sebum is normal, but people with acne have larger glands that release more sebum into the skin. The excess sebum can trap oil, bacteria, and skin cells.

Psoriasis

Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease that causes raised, red, scaly patches to appear on the skin. It typically affects the outside of the elbows, knees or scalp, though it can appear on any location. Some people report that psoriasis is itchy, burns and stings.

Eczema

Eczema refers to a chronic inflammatory skin condition, characterized by dry skin, with patches that are red and intensely itchy. These patches of eczema may ooze, become scaly, crusted, or hardened. Symptoms can range from mild to severe, and the condition can negatively impact the quality of life. Eczema can occur anywhere on the skin and is commonly found on the flexors (bends of the arms, backs of the knees).

Digestive disorders

Common digestive problems include heartburn/GERD, IBD, and IBS. Symptoms may include bloating, diarrhea, gas, stomach pain, and stomach cramps. Treatment includes a combination of medication and lifestyle changes.

Understanding the science behind Allergies

Antibodies (also known as immunoglobulins, abbreviated Ig) are gamma globulin proteins that are found in blood or other bodily fluids of vertebrates and are used by the immune system to identify and neutralize foreign objects, such as bacteria and viruses. Antibodies are produced by a kind of white blood cell called a plasma cell.

In placental mammals, there are five antibody isotypes known as IgA, IgD, IgE, IgG, and IgM. They are each named with an “Ig” prefix that stands for immunoglobulin, another name for antibody, and differ in their biological properties, functional locations and ability to deal with different antigens.

IgA: Found in mucosal areas, such as the gut, respiratory tract and urogenital tract, and prevents colonization by pathogens. Also found in saliva, tears, and breast milk.

IgD: Functions mainly as an antigen receptor on B cells that have not been exposed to antigens. It has been shown to activate basophils and mast cells to produce antimicrobial factors.

IgE: Binds to allergens and triggers histamine release from mast cells and basophils, and is involved in allergy. Also protects against parasitic worms.

IgG: In its four forms, provides the majority of antibody-based immunity against invading pathogens. The only antibody capable of crossing the placenta to give passive immunity to fetus.

IgM: Expressed on the surface of B cells and in a secreted form with very high avidity. Eliminates pathogens in the early stages of B cell mediated (humoral) immunity before there is sufficient IgG.

Note: IgG and IgE are prominent in allergy.

Allergy Tests

Allergy testing involves having a skin or blood test to find out what substance, or allergen, may trigger an allergic response in a person. Skin tests are usually done because they are rapid, reliable, and generally less expensive than blood tests, but either type of test may be used.

Skin tests

A small amount of a suspected allergen is placed on or below the skin to see if a reaction develops. There are three types of skin tests:

  • Skin prick test. This test is done by placing a drop of a solution containing a possible allergen on the skin, and a series of scratches or needle pricks allows the solution to enter the skin. If the skin develops a red, raised itchy area (called a wheal), it usually means that the person is allergic to that allergen. This is called a positive reaction.
  • Scratch test, also known as a puncture or prick test: First, your doctor or nurse will look at the skin on your forearm or back and clean it with alcohol. They’ll mark and label areas on your skin with a pen. Then they’ll place a drop of a potential allergen on each of those spots. Next, they’ll prick the outer layer of your skin to let the allergen in. (It’s not a shot, and it won’t make you bleed.)
  • Intradermal test. During this test, a small amount of the allergen solution is injected into the skin. An intradermal allergy test may be done when a substance does not cause a reaction in the skin prick test but is still suspected as an allergen for that person. The intradermal test is more sensitive than the skin prick test but is more often positive in people who do not have symptoms to that allergen (false-positive test results).
  • Skin patch test. For a skin patch test, the allergen solution is placed on a pad that is taped to the skin for 24 to 72 hours. This test is used to detect a skin allergy called contact dermatitis.

Blood test

Allergy blood tests look for substances in the blood called antibodies. Blood tests are not as sensitive as skin tests but are often used for people who are not able to have skin tests.

The most common type of blood test used is the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA, EIA). It measures the blood level of a type of antibody (called immunoglobulin E, or IgE) that the body may make in response to certain allergens. IgE levels are often higher in people who have allergies or asthma.

How NAET Works on Allergy

What is NAET?

Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques, also known as NAET, are a non-invasive, drug-free, natural solution to alleviate allergies of all types and intensities using a blend of selective energy balancing, testing and treatment procedures from acupuncture/acupressure, allopathy, chiropractic, nutritional, and kinesiological disciplines of medicine.

Acupunture/Acupressure

Yin-Yang theory from Oriental medical principles teaches the importance of maintaining homeostasis in the body. According to Oriental medical principles, “when the body is in perfect balance, no disease is possible.”

Any disturbance in the homeostasis can cause disease. Any allergen capable of producing a weakening muscular effect in the body can cause the disturbance in homeostasis. Hence, diseases can be prevented and cured by maintaining homeostasis.

According to acupuncture theory, acupuncture and/or Acupressure at certain acupuncture points is capable of bringing the body to a state of homeostasis by removing the energy blockages from the energy pathways known as meridians. When the blockages are removed, energy can flow freely through the energy meridians, thus bringing the body in perfect balance.

Allopathy

Knowledge of the brain, cranial nerves, spinal nerves and autonomic nervous system from Western medicine enlightens us about the body’s efficient multilevel communication network. Through this network of nerves, vital energy circulates through the body carrying negative and positive messages from the brain to each and every cell in the body and back to the brain.

Knowledge of the nervous system, its origin, gravel pathway, the organs and tissues that will benefit from its nerve energy supplies (target organs and tissues) and its destination, helps us to understand the energy distribution of particular spinal nerves that emerge from the 31 pairs of spinal nerve roots.

Chiropractic

Chiropractic principles help us to detect the nerve energy blockage in a specific nerve energy pathway by detecting and isolating the exact nerve root being pinched. The exact vertebral level in relation to the pinched spinal nerve root helps us to trace the travel route, the destination and the target organs of that particular energy pathway. D. D. Palmer considered the “Father of Chiropractic,” said, “too much or too little energy is a disease.”

A pinched nerve can cause a disturbance in the energy flow. Chiropractic medicine postulates that a pinched nerve or any such disturbance in the energy flow can cause disease, revealing the importance of maintaining an uninterrupted flow of nerve energy. A pinched nerve or an obstruction in the energy flow is often the result of an allergy.

Spinal manipulation at the specific vertebral level of the pinched nerve, can relieve the obstruction of the energy flow and help the body to arrive at a state of homeostasis.

Nutritional

You are what you eat! The secret to good health is achieved through the right nutrition. What is the right nutrition? And how do you get it? When you can eat nutritious foods without discomfort and assimilate their nutrients, that food is said to be the right food.

When you get indigestion, bloating, or other digestive troubles upon eating the food, that food is not helping you function normally. This is due to an allergy to the food. Different foods react differently in different people. What is food for some may be poison for others? You’ve probably heard the expression, “one man’s meat is another man’s poison.” So it is very important to clear the allergy to the nutrients.

Allergic people can tolerate food that is low in nutrition better than nutritious food. But upon clearing the allergy, you should try to eat more wholesome, nutritious foods. You should avoid refined, bleached food that is devoid of nutrients. Many people who are feeling poorly due to undiagnosed food allergies, may take vitamins or other supplements to increase their vitality after they get treated for the specific allergy.

If they happen to be allergic to the nutritional supplements they are taking, this can actually make them feel worse. Only after clearing those allergies, can their bodies properly assimilate them. So nutritional assessment should be done periodically and if needed, appropriate supplements should be taken to receive faster results.

Kinesiological disciplines of medicine

Kinesiology is the art and science of movement of the human body. Kinesiology is used in NAET to compare the strength and weakness of any muscle (also known as neuromuscular sensitivity testing (NST)) of the body in the presence and absence of any substance. A measured weakness in the presence of a substance is due to the effect of an allergy to the item the person is touching. This simple method can be used to detect your allergens.

Treating the Basics First

Some NAET practitioners will immediately treat the patient’s worse allergens, whether they are foods or environmental allergens. And many people do have success being treated in the below fashion. However, the protocol that the doctor follows is the prescribed NAET protocol of treating the “15 basics” first and then treating other allergies. The basics consist of some of the most commonly eaten foods and the most important nutrients.

The reason these are treated first is that all of these nutrients are important to a properly functioning immune system. In NAET theory, if one is allergic to a nutrient or a food that contains it, then one’s body is not able to properly absorb and utilize that nutrient.

As a result, even with adequate intake, one could end up deficient in that nutrient. And a deficiency in any necessary nutrient can have serious health consequences, including a malfunctioning immune system. So it is important to treat the basics first so the immune system will be strong enough to fully clear other allergens.

The NAET Treatment Procedure

Step 1 – Isolate the offending allergen using NTT (Nambudripad’s Testing Techniques: Muscle response testing, and/or non-invasive skin resistant testing, also encourages the use of standardized laboratory testing like RAST, Eliza, IgG, IgE act, etc.)

Step 2 – Mild acupressure on specific pre-determined acupuncture points by the practitioner on the specific meridians

Step 3 – Complete avoidance of the treated allergen for 25 hours following the treatment.

After 25 hours practitioner needs to retest the treated allergen for the completeness of the treatment. In most cases, it takes only one treatment (one office visit) to eliminate the allergy, and 25 hour – avoidance is followed. In some extreme cases, it may take more than one office visit per allergen.

Why 25 hours of avoidance period?

We have 12 major meridians (energy pathways) in our body. It takes up to 2 hours for the energy of the treated allergen to pass through each meridian and return to the starting point. It is only after this period does the brain perceive the allergen “friendly/harmless” upon any future contact with it. Hence it is very important to strictly follow the avoidance time/period.

NAET AND ALLERGIES

With NAET, we get to the root of the problem, identifying and eliminating the allergen that is causing the recurring symptoms.

NAET offers the prospect of relief to those who suffer from addiction and allergies by reprogramming the brain to perfect health. Just like rebooting a computer, we can reboot our nervous system through NAET to overcome the adverse reactions of brain and body.

To fully understand NAET, one needs to know some Oriental medical principles.  NAET has taken the acupuncture and Oriental medical theories and developed a technique that can eliminate the reaction from the root.

Addictions can definitely cause illness. Continuous contact with an allergen produces toxins in the body, and causes blockages in the meridians. If these blockages are not cleared, reactions to the allergens often produce symptoms that mimic other diseases.

Muscle testing NAET Dubai
MRT (Muscle Response Testing)

By clearing all your Food, Environment, Chemical allergy from the NAET protocol, we strengthen the immune system, improve digestion and absorption. This allows the body to get the necessary nutrients, which are essential for life without causing any reactions and say goodbye to your symptoms.

One allergen is cleared per visit. Each individual has a different genetic makeup and health history so the number of sessions required varies from one individual to another. For some people, allergens are cleared immediately however, for others it may take many sessions to accomplish the desired results.

Some people might raise their eyebrows and ask, “Can you really eliminate my Allergies?” NAET answers with a resounding “YES!”

No More Migraines!

I had severe migraines all my life. Whenever I got them I had to go to emergency rooms to get a shot, then I had to sleep for three to four days. Finally, my migraines would go away. After Dr.Devi’s treatments for food allergies, I do not get migraines anymore. I am one of her guinea pigs from her early days of practice. NAET works! I haven’t had migraines in 14 years.

Allergy to Cosmetics

I had always been super sensitive to any cream, makeups, lotions, shampoo, conditioner, etc. My skin burned and turned blotchy red whenever I used even hypoallergenic products. The skin around my eyes became swollen and puffy and I experienced unbearable itching, especially around the sides of my nose. Sometimes I used to go around in a sneezing fit which left me all red and stuffy with frequent sore throats.

I saw three different physicians and dermatologists regarding the severe itching and for these problems. All their comments were about the same, “If that is only health problems you have, don’t worry about it.”

A year and a half ago, Dr. Devi treated me for all the basic allergies and for lanolin and sheep wool. Lanolin, a derivative of sheep wool, is used in many cosmetics. She also had to treat me for some specific makeups. One by one, I was able to use them with no reactions whatsoever.
